On top of this choice being costly, thanks to a chipper, and a time consuming, thanks to the process of compost, your yard might smell bad as the waste decomposes, which will attract pests like flies and vermin.
3. Head to the Tip
Rather than use their organic waste bin, or start composting, some people remove their garden waste themselves by taking it to the closest tip. This is a great idea if one, you’re capable of handling all the waste on your own, and two, have a vehicle large enough to transport it. Then of course, you need to find the time to carry out this operation and at the end of it all you might be charged with a dumping fee by your local tip.
While it’s time consuming and possibly expensive, the main concern with this method is the proper disposal of your waste. If you do choose to take your waste to the tip, ensure you know the correct place to dump the material.
